Edward Tylor (1871):

‘Culture ... includes knowledge, belief, art, law, morals, custom, and any other  habits acquired by man as a member of society.’

Ruth Benedict (1934):

‘What really binds men together is their culture, -- the ideas and the standards they have in common.’

Culture is a word for people's 'way of life', meaning the way they do things. Different groups of people may have different cultures. A culture is passed on to the next generation by learning, whereas genetics are passed on by heredity. Culture is seen in people's writing, religion, music, clothes, cooking, and in what they do (Wikipedia)

Margaret Mead (1937):

A culture...can mean the forms of traditional behavior which are characteristics of a given society, or of a group of societies, or of a certain race, or of a certain area, or of a certain period of time.

Ward Goodenough (1971)

The term culture [refers to] what is learned, ... the things one needs to know in order to meet the standards of others.

Culture is the characteristics of a particular group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts. Today, in the United States as in other countries populated largely by immigrants, the culture is influenced by the many groups of people that now make up the country.
